The Air Jordan 1 “Banned” Or ”Bred” Features An Almost Forgotten OG Detail

When it comes to retro Air Jordan sneakers, classic colorways of the Air Jordan 1 are definitely the rarest and sought after to a great extent. If a list is compiled of all such Air Jordan 1 iterations, the “Bred” would definitely be at the top, and ever since Jordan Brand dropped the “Banned” version back in 2011, the demand for the sneaker increased tenfold. News has like already spread within the sneaker community that the Air Jordan 1 “Banned” is making a comeback and J23app was the first to reveal that it would be one of September’s Air Jordan releases 2016.

This is not surprising, considering he was laced up in the Air Jordan 1 “Chicago” when he made his recent WWE comeback. Back in May, Shane O Mac had shared a photo on his Twitter account (@shanemcmahon) of the sneaker’s box, which will apparently sport an “X” on the side. On the WWEPayback (2016) pay-per-view (PPV) event at the ‎Allstate Arena in Illinois, Shane was rocking the sneaker itself when he entered the ring.

Finally, Jordanheads will now get to see the Air Jordan 1 “Bred” or “Banned” thoroughly for the very first time. While this sneaker is quite special in itself, there also happens to be an “OG” detail present on it that an Air Jordan 1 rendition has not featured for quite a while. Namely, the interior of the ankles showcase the sizes in which this sneaker will be available along with several other significant numbers. Back in 1985, this detail had been present inside the original pairs as well. Thus, the upcoming Air Jordan 1 “Bred” or “Banned” will be the closest to the original and Jordan Brand have confirmed that it will retail at a price of $160 on September 3rd.
