The men’s Olympic basketball competition in Rio de Janeiro had reached its fourth quarter and once again, Team USA had to face off against a tough opponent, resulting in a close game. Team Serbia proved to be quite a disciplined yet offensive team, managing to breach the defenses of the U.S. team. Fortunately for Team USA, they somehow managed to survive, just as they had done in their game against Team Australia. Team U.S. was victorious with a score of 94-91, so they actually barely survived. The quarterfinals, semifinals and the finals remain, so this was definitely just the right time for the Air Jordan 31 “USA” to arrive.
There was a chance the could have gone to overtime had Bogdan Bogdanovic not missed a three-pointer shot with just 0.2 seconds left on the clock before the game’s end. Thus, Team USA actually got pretty lucky Carmelo Anthony deserves credit for giving his team the lead with a jump shot because during the final 2:11 of the game, the U.S. team did not managed to score anything. Kyrie Irving scored the most points for Team USA, a total of 15, and behind him was DeAndre Jordan, who scored 13 points. Carmelo Anthony, Kevin Durant and Paul George had also scored 12 points each.
At the very least, Team USA seems to be surviving well enough, but they can expect the upcoming games to be even more challenging. The retail debut of the upcoming Air Jordan 31 “USA” has hopefully gotten U.S. fans even more excited, making them cheer for NBA’s finest even more, boosting Team USA’s morale. It is already known that the Air Jordan 31 “USA” is dressed up in Red, White and Blue. It is one of the three Olympic-themed Air Jordan 31 iterations that Jordan Brand designed, the other two being the “Brazil” and “Croatia.” The Air Jordan 31 “USA” arrived on August 10th and should still be available for $185.
