Many of the sneakerheads reading this have probably heard about Nike+ and some might even be Nike+ users. For the ones who do not know, Nike designed Nike+ to serve as a personal trainer of sorts for runners to encourage and press them on to take their running to the next level. NikePlus.com offers runners and sneakerheads alike the option to upload their run data so they may track their activities and progress, compare their data with other runners, and even compete with them. It seems that Nike+ users are now also receiving an early opportunity to a pair of one of the most highly anticipated, upcoming Air Jordan releases.
Nike+ users happen to have three pieces of equipment that they can choose from and use. The key equipment is the Nike+ sensor that can be placed in any Nike+ ready trainer. The sensor can be synced with an Apple device, Nike+ Sport Watch or Sport Band, and after a running session, the data that is collected can be uploaded to NikePlus.com. Data like calories burned, distance covered, runner’s pace, running process and the time it took are monitored and tracked by the sensor. Combined with the Nike+ Sensor, the Nike+ GPS Sport Watch enables runners to plan their running route online by identifying their precise location.
There are likely countless sneakerheads who are looking forward to grab an Air Jordan 3 “Wool” pair this weekend, especially considering the model recently made its comeback after a relatively long hiatus. Fortunately for select Nike+ users, they will gain early access to the sneaker and will end up adding a pair to the collection sooner than others. Nike has done before, quite recently actually, namely when the Air Jordan 3 OG ’88 “True Blue,” Air Jordan 9 “Space Jam” and the Air Jordan 11 “Space Jam” were almost on their way to retail shelves. Sneakerheads who haven provided early access by Nike will receive a notification on their Nike+ app.
Nike+ users who do not receive a notification will have to wait like all the other sneakerheads for the Air Jordan 3 “Wool” to make its retail debut on December 17th. Regardless of the early access, this sneaker will still be retailing at a price of $200.
