Most Jordanheads are currently probably looking forward to the Jordan releases of the Air Jordan 8 Aqua, which will take place the following week on Black Friday. The week after that, another one of Jordan Brand’s retro sneakers is scheduled to make a comeback. The sneaker is Air Jordan 6 Maroon that has possibly received the remastered treatment, considering that this year’s edition will be an exact replica of the version from years ago, complete with OG branding. Even though Jordanheads will have to wait a little longer to get their hands on this sneaker, a certain former professional NBA player also has a pair.
Rip Hamilton is the former NBA player who has managed to grab a pair of the upcoming highly anticipated Air Jordan 6 Maroon. It is actually nothing new for Rip Hamilton to show off his sneaker hauls consisting of kicks that have not even hit the shelves. Prior to August this year, Rip had shown his Instagram followers his Air Jordan 1 Pinnacle “Croc” and the Air Jordan 6 Low “Ghost Green,” back when they did not even have a release date. In August, he once again posted photos of sneakers from Jordan Brand’s Fall releases that he had managed to cop early on, which were two Air Jordan 11 Low IE colorways and the Air Jordan 14 Low “Laney.”
Considering that Rip Hamilton is now the proud owner of the 2016 version of Air Jordan 6 “Maroon,” it is not surprising that he took to Instagram to show off his pair. While the OG NIKE AIR logo that will be featured on the heel is not visible in the photo, it goes provide a better and clearer look at the actual sneaker. It is also sure to raise the anticipation further for the Jordan release 2015 of the Air Jordan 6 “Maroon,” which will be taking place on December 5th. Moreover, the retail price of the sneaker will be a whopping $220.
