The Air Jordan 4 OG “Bred” is returning to join next month’s Air Jordan releases 2019, complete with OG “Nike Air” branding and hangtag. Since near the end of last month, Jordan Brand’s classic “Bred” (Black and Red) color scheme has made some rather unexpected appearances. For instance, an Air Jordan 1 “Banned” for toddlers will be coming soon to 43einhalb and Nike.com. Air Jordan 1 “Bred” football cleats also became available last month. A “Bred” colorway of the Jordan 6 Rings will also be making its retail debut this month, while it is being rumored that the Air Jordan 11 “Bred” will arrive during the 2019 Holiday Season.
While you probably know the history of Jordan Brand’s “Banned/Bred” colorway by heart at this point, here is a little refresher. You will certainly agree that the “Black/Red” colorway of the Air Jordan 1 is the most iconic sneaker of all time. Despite the fact of the matter that the Air Jordan 1 “Bred” was not the sneaker that the NBA banned, the Air Jordan 1 “Bred” inevitably became widely recognized for incurring a $5,000 fine. Even if it was actually the Nike Air Ship that Michael Jordan wore, it does not take away from the fabled history of the Air Jordan 1 or its allegedly “Banned” colorway.
Also known as the “Black Cement,” the Air Jordan 4 “Bred” was originally released back in 1989. As it joins next month’s Air Jordan releases 2019, this will be its third comeback, but the first one with original detailing. While it was re-released twice before, once as a part of 2008’s Countdown Pack and then in 2012, both versions had the “Jumpman” logo over the heels. Of course, it will be dressed up in the same color scheme of Black, Cement Grey, Fire Red and Summit White. Its heels will also feature the OG “Nike Air” branding and it will be accompanied by an OG “Nike Air” hangtag.
Air Jordan 4 “Bred” Color: Black/Cement Grey-Summit White-Fire Red Style Code: 308497-060 Release Date: May 4th, 2019 Retail Price: $200
