Jordan Brand had already confirmed, or at least hinted that this year would mark the Jordan releases 2016 of a brand new Air Jordan 10 rendition as part of their second City Pack. As a part of this pack, Jordan Brand will be representing cities like Charlotte, Chicago, Los Angeles and New York. The first sneak peek of one of the Air Jordan 10 colorways from the pack, potentially the “NYC” version, was recently provided on Instagram by @zsneakerheadz. Even a prospective date on which the Air Jordan 10 might actually hit the shelves is also being rumored.
Soon after Jordanheads received the teaser mentioned above, clear and detailed photos of the actual Air Jordan 10 “NYC” edition popped up on the Internet. Jordanheads are probably familiar with the concept behind Jordan Brand’s City Pack. However, for those who cannot guess from its name or simply do not know, the City Pack was first introduced as a collection of different Air Jordan 10 iterations that are inspired by a specific city that they represent. This is the reason that the featured colorway of the Air Jordan 10 is dubbed “NYC” because it draws inspiration from and represents The Empire State.
The whole upper of the Air Jordan 10 “NYC” is dressed up in a metallic shade of Black. The upper made up of a combination of smooth and tumbled leather, while the “NYC” that is featured on the sneaker’s ankle collar is adored in gold, which adds an elegant and fabulous contrast. Even the stripped heel tab sports gold accents. Last but not least, even the inner lining laces and sole unit of this sneaker are covered in Black, giving it a tonal look.
While not confirmed, the Jordan releases 2016 of the Air Jordan 10 “NYC” is being rumored for and is slated to likely take place on April 23rd. The retail price of the sneaker is expected to be $190.
