The 2014-2015 NBA Season officially began on October 28, and the Charlotte Hornets had recently returned and will be participating in the season. The reason this may be of interest to 23isBack readers is because Michael Jordan happens to be a majority owner of the team. Even though post is not going to contain any potential 2014 or 2015 Jordan release dates, it will still leave all the Jordan heads here wanting to cop the pairs being discussed.
As the NBA Season took off, Michael Jordan took over every social media platform of the Charlotte Hornets, including the franchise’s Twitter account. Michael Jordan dubbed this “#MJTakeover”. During this #MJTakeover, Michael Jordan answered questions, shared behind the scenes photos with staff, and even revealed a unique Hornets t-shirt that apparently has a Jumpan on it. However, these were not the only things that Michael Jordan unveiled on the Hornets Twitter account during his #MJTakeover.
Michael Jordan also posted a photo of a literal lineup of Air Jordan retros in Charlotte Hornets-inspired colorways that have been seen before. Michael Jordan even posed the question about how serious he is about these new Hornet colors in the caption he posted along with the photo. Based on the photo that he shared, Hornets-themed retros that can be seen are the Air Jordan 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 10, 13, 14, and 16, all of which look amazing. In particular, some of the pairs that stand out include the Air Jordan 5 that seem to have a bit of a “Grape” theme and the Air Jordan 11 with a purple midsole.
The Charlotte Hornets are already fan favorites for this 2014-2015 NBA Season, and upon looking at their kicks, 23isBack readers and other Jordan heads have probably become quite envious. Of course, it makes sense since none of these new jordans will have 2014 or 2015 Jordan release dates with them for now, considering that they are all PEs.
