Space Jam, the animated/live-action film that was released in 1996, presented Michael Jordan and the Looney Tunes characters in new light. Ever since then, Jordan Brand has dropped several Looney Tunes-themed Air Jordan sneakers. One of the April Jordan release dates 2015 has now marked the retail debut of an Air Jordan 1 Mid GS inspired by Bugs Bunny’s accomplice and crush, and has been aptly dubbed “Lola Bunny.”
April is turning out to be the month of Air Jordan sneakers that reference and take inspiration from Looney Tunes characters, especially Bugs Bunny. Even though Jordan Brand has not officially announced when the Air Jordan “Hare” will be hitting the shelves, the “Hare” and this “Lola Bunny” colorways of the Air Jordan Mid silhouette have already arrived at retailers. Later this month, a “Lola Bunny” colorway of the Air Jordan 7 GG will also be up for grabs. There are also rumors that Jordan Brand is probably working on another Air Jordan 1 colorway, unofficially nicknamed “Tasmanian Devil,” which might also debut later in April.
This “Lola Bunny” colorway of the Air Jordan 1 Mid GS does not look too different from the Air Jordan 1 Mid “Hare.” Since this is a sneaker for the small-footed Jordanheads and Lola Bunny is the source of inspiration, it has an almost pastel-like color scheme, reminiscent of the female bunny. This new jordans has an almost baby pink base with brown overlays, while a brighter pink hue makes an appearance on the inner lining, Jordan “Wings” logo, laces and the Nike Swoosh. The white midsole makes it look even more soft and subtle, while the outsole is dressed up in the same brown shade as the upper. Above all, this Looney Tunes-inspired sneaker also sports the “Hare Jordan” logo on the tongue.
This is the first time ever that Lola Bunny has served as a source of inspiration for an Air Jordan sneaker and small-footed wearers are the ones getting this opportunity to cop a pair. Considering that April 4th was one of the confirmed Jordan release dates 2015 for the arrival of this sneaker, women and children can head out now to grab the Air Jordan 1 Mid GS “Lola Bunny.”
