According to NBC Sports, Jimmy Butler quite literally has a pair of sneakers “for every day of year.” Yet, he does not have his own line of signature sneaker models from Jordan Brand. Despite that fact, he is Jordan Brand’s most loyal athlete, who has been with since back in 2015. Jimmy Butler gave up his contract with adidas in order to sign his new deal with Jordan Brand, which actually resulted in him earning 75% less. Of course, Jimmy Butler has received countless Air Jordan PE colorways from Jordan Brand. The latest addition to his growing footwear collection is a new Air Jordan 6 colorway nicknamed after him.
According to Jimmy Butler himself, one of the reasons he switched from adidas to Jordan Brand was because the footwear was better. Soon after his sponsorship with Jordan Brand, Jimmy Butler made numerous on- and off-court appearances laced up in various Air Jordan PE pairs, some of which even hit the shelves eventually. Some of the pairs worn by him during the 2014–15 NBA season include the Air Jordan 10 “Infrared,” Air Jordan 11 “Legend Blue” and “Ultimate Gift of Flight,” Air Jordan 14 “Black Toe” and “Ferrari,” and the Air Jordan 20 “Laser.” He even rocked Jordan Brand’s latest model at the time, the Air Jordan 29.
As you may already know, after playing as a member of the Chicago Bulls for a majority of his career, Jimmy Butler was traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves last year. Hence, this upcoming colorway of the Air Jordan 6, which is nicknamed after him, is inspired by his current team. Its leather and suede uppers and its midsoles appear to be dressed up in Diffused Blue. Court Blue can be spotted over its heels, lace locks and midsoles. As for its outsoles, they are translucent with an icy appearance. This sneaker will be retailing at a price of $190 among upcoming Air Jordan releases 2018 arriving in October.
