The Charlotte Hornets made yet another comeback and and remain undefeated following their recent victory over the Brooklyn Nets, with Kemba Walker playing a major part in it. This victory marks the second consecutive win for the Hornets. This season, the only loss they had to suffer was against the the Boston Celtics, but on the road, they have yet to be defeated with a score of 3-0. They managed to pull this off despite the fact that Jeremy Lamb and Roy Hibbert have been out due to injuries. Fortunately, Kemba continues to impress and was recently laced up in a Hornets-themed Air Jordan 31 during a game.
While they certainly won against the Nets, but it was nothing short of a hard fought victory. 30 points out of the Hornets’ overall score were made by Kemba, while he score six rebounds as well. 18 points were made by Nicolas Batum, while he also scored nine rebounds and almost succeeded in making double-double. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist also scored 10 boards, while Cody Zeller added another 10 points to the score, along with scoring six rebounds. Before the game came to an end, Marvin Williams also made a three-pointer clutch shot, despite scoring merely 2 points throughout the game.
As for the Air Jordan 31 pair mentioned earlier, it was spotted on Kemba Walker’s feet during the recent game between the Charlotte Hornets and the Philadelphia 76ers. From the looks of it, the pair is mostly likely a PE that he received from Jordan Brand, but there is no denying that the kicks look pretty dope. As can be seen, the uppers are predominantly dressed up in Grey and White, while the aglets, Flywire, inner linings, Jordan branding and the midsoles feature Purple- and Teal-colored detailing.
Since the Charlotte Hornets is owned by Michael Jordan, more Hornets-themed PEs can be expected to make appearances by the end of this year and perhaps even in 2017. Of course, this particular Air Jordan 31 colorway will not be joining 2016’s upcoming Jordan releases.
