It is likely that Jordanheads had their eyes on the kicks that appeared on court as much as they were watching the games when the All-Star festivities unfolded this past weekend. Along with LaMarcus Aldridge, Kawhi Leonard did an impressive job of representing the San Antonio Spurs during the NBA All-Star Game, scoring 6 boards and 17 points. While making his contribution towards helping his team score a victory against the Orlando Magic, “The Claw” was laced up in the Air Jordan 30 following its recent Jordan release. However, there was another never-before-seen sneaker that Kawhi introduced, albeit off the court.
This was the first time that Kawhi Leonard got to participate in the NBA All-Star Game and apart of rocking the Air Jordan 30, he also made an off-court appearance while laced up in another sneaker. As can be seen in the photos, Kawhi also took part in a photo shoot, sporting an Air Jordan 13 Low iteration that Jordanheads have definitely never seen before. Readers may not remember this but somewhat early in 2015 too, Kawhi had worn a PE rendition of the Air Jordan 13 Low and that version never ended up makings its way to retailers.
The Air Jordan 13 Low that that Kawhi Leonard can be seen sporting in in these photos, which were taken during the photoshoot, appears to be featuring quite the premium and sleek aesthetic. This ominous sneaker has an upper that is dressed up completely in Black, even including its laces, midsole and outsole. However, its upper seems to be quite glossy and shiny, partially due to patent leather accents that can be spotted, while the Jordan Jumpman on the tongue is apparently covered in Gold.
Much like Kawhi’s Air Jordan 13 Low pair from last year, it is uncertain whether the Jordan release 2016 of this glossy, all Black Air Jordan 13 Low will ever take place. Taking a hint from last year, this seems unlikely, but then again Jordan Brand can be expected to do anything.
