Jordanheads are probably aware of the fact that it takes varying amounts of time for a sneaker to wholly catch critical mass within the sneaker culture. In fact, it took nearly 10 years for the Air Jordan CP3 to reach sneaker culture. Every installment in Chris Paul’s signature line that has arrived to date has been held in high esteem by sneakerheads and the most anticipated one yet is the ninth edition that was unveiled not so long ago. Until last month, it is unlikely that anyone was even expecting the 2015 Jordan releases of a CP3-inspired Air Jordan 13 PE that Chris Paul himself had once sported.
Before Jordan Brand officially unveiled the Jordan CP3.9 recently, they had initially teased several iterations, such as the “Green Suede” friends and family version that took the sneaker community by storm. By the end of September, Jordan Brand officially introduced the Air Jordan CP3.9, which features Striking Control technology that will allow the wearer to play with more agility and stability, changing directions making cuts quickly. Dynamic Flywire cables are also a part of the web lacing system of the Air Jordan CP3.9, which already hit the shelves in the U.S. on October 1st in “Emerald” and “Yellow” colorways. However, the global retail debut of the Air Jordan CP3.9 is slated for November 1st.
Around the same time that sneakerheads got an official look at the Air Jordan CP3.9, rumors also began circulating that two PE colorways of the Air Jordan 13 once worn by Chris Paul were on their way. Chris Paul was playing for the New Orleans Hornets back then when he wore this black rendition of the Air Jordan 13, which has been dubbed “CP3 Away,” and now Jordan Brand has confirmed when its Jordan release 2015 will be taking place. The Air Jordan 13 PE “CP3 Away” is scheduled to arrive at retailers on November 7th and its retail price will be $200.
