Sneakerheads probably have mixed opinions about the Jordan Trunner LX, but the fact of the matter is that it made a surprising comeback as a retro this year in January. It is also likely that there are plenty of sneakerheads who are fans of the Trunner LX and the rest of Jordan Brand’s running models from the original Trunner line. Of course, the more latest, modern-day Trunner variations are in no way the same as the originals, but the one that arrived earlier this year was actually a returning OG. The same goes for the upcoming one featured here, which is actually inspired by the Chicago Bulls.
The Jordan Trunner LX iteration that joined January’s Jordan releases 2017 had originally made its retail debut back in 2000, soon after Jordan Brand introduced the Air Jordan 15. The woven material that the Jordan Trunner LX features along its midpanels, and the mesh material that its collars and toe boxes are made up of, were both borrowed from the Air Jordan 15. Additionally, this running silhouette is also equipped with dual straps that were added to lock the wearer’s feet and heels down into place. Last but not least, this off-court preparation and training shoe is equipped with IU midsoles and rubber outsoles too.
Dressed up in the official colors of the Chicago Bulls, this Jordan Trunner LX iteration was one of the originals that arrived at retailers back in 2000 when this model was first introduced. Earlier in 2017, the Jordan Trunner LX has already made a comeback in a number of original colorways and the one featured here is the latest. Its upper are made up of a combination of mesh, suede and woven nylon, while dressed up predominantly in Black and Red. However, White also makes several appearances, such as over the branding, one of the straps and the toe boxes.
Whether sneakerheads are actually a fan of the model or simply in need of a new off-court sneaker, this one will likely not disappoint. The Jordan Trunner LX OG “Bulls” has not returned yet, but it will soon hit the shelves and will join upcoming Jordan releases 2017.
