Throughout the final days of 2016, most sneakerheads were occupied were keep an eye out for the Holiday Season’s upcoming Air Jordan releases. Hence, it is possible that many of them missed out on the fact that Jordan Brand unveiled the sneakers that would be the highlights of their Spring 2017 Collection. In 2017, it seems that Jordan Brand will be paying tribute to their own heritage, while establishing brand new, innovative trends of on- and off-court sneaker styles.
The array Air Jordan models from Jordan Brand’s Spring 2017 Collection range from the Air Jordan 4 to the Air Jordan 15, and various other silhouettes that fall in between.
Jordan Brand’s Spring 2017 Collection itself includes a collection that has been dubbed “Take Flight,” which includes colorways inspired by military bomber jackets and fighter planes. The models included are the Air Jordan 5, Air Jordan 8 and the Air Jordan 15. The included Air Jordan 5 colorway that debuts on February 11th is inspired by the P51 flight bomber jacket, while the Air Jordan 8 that debuts on January 28th draws its inspiration from the original MA-1 flight bomber jacket. The only rendition that is not brand new is the Air Jordan 15 “Stealth,” which is now being referred to as “Flight Jacket,” which has already returned on January 7th, 2017.
The “Take Flight” Collection is not the only collection that is a part of Jordan Brand’s Spring 2017 Collection. Although not official, the fact that Jordan Brand will be dropping two upcoming “Alternate” releases this year unifies them as a part of an “Alternate” Collection. Both the Air Jordan 6 and the Air Jordan 8 are receiving the “Alternate” treatment in 2017, with their retail debuts scheduled for March 11th and February 25th, respectively.
Additionally, the Air Jordan 12 Low “Playoffs” is also set to make its comeback this year as well on February 25th, 2017, but this will not be the only Air Jordan 12 Low release of this year. Along with the brand new Air Jordan 12 Low “Max Orange” that hits the shelves on January 14th, sneakerheads can expect plenty of other Air Jordan 12 Low colorways to become available. Last but not least, sneakerheads can also look forward to the retail debut of the Air Jordan 4 “Legacy,” so keep checking back for more news and updates.
