Jordan Brand’s off-court model, the Air Jordan Future took the sneaker community by storm when its very first colorway hit the shelves nearly 1 year ago, especially since the silhouette was inspired by the Air Jordan 11. Innumerable renditions of the Jordan Future have already hit the shelves and likely been copped by countless Jordaheads , such as pairs featuring premium woven uppers that retailed for up to $375 back in 2014. No wonder, Jordan Brand capitalized on the opportunity by whipping up the Low counterpart of the Jordan Future, which is arriving at retailers colorway on one of the upcoming Jordan release dates 2015 in a “Midnight Navy” colorway that is also being unofficially referred to as the “Hoyas” colorway.
Jordanheads had already started counting down to 2015 when rumors began spreading last year that Jordan Brand was eventually going to drop the Jordan Future in low-top form very soon. Those rumors definitely prove to be true with the retail debut of several new Jordan Future Low colorways, allowing the low silhouette to make a similar impact as its mid-top iteration had made last year. Perhaps the Jordan Future Low is set to make a much bigger impact as it debuts in this “Midnight Navy” colorway, especially keeping the source of inspiration in mind.
The color pallete of this new jordans should make it obvious that it takes inspiration from the Georgetown Hoyas, who were the biggest rivals of the North Carolina Tar Heels, back when Micahel Jordan was a part of their roster. In fact, the color scheme of this pair resembles that of the Jordan 11 Low “Georgetown” that also takes its inspiration from the same source. The upper of this sneaker consists of woven textile with a tongue that features gold embroidery. This pair gets its finishing touch in the form of a pure white midsole and outsole that match the sneaker’s inner lining and lacing system.
The “Hoyas” colorway of the Jordan Future Low is not the only rendition of the silhouette that Jordanheads (including 23isBack readers) should be looking forward towards. In fact, this low silhouette will also be hitting the shelves in “Gold/Patent Leather” and “Photo Blue” colorways as well on upcoming Jordan release dates 2015. As for the Air Jordan Future “Midnight Navy,” some select retailers are already selling it for $150, which makes it one of the more reasonably-priced Air Jordan Future pairs.
