Back in 2005 when the Air Jordan Dub Zero model had been first introduced, sneakerheads had never seen anything like it before. The aspect that made and still makes the Dub Zero stand out is the fact that it is a combination of features and elements borrowed from various Air Jordan models. In fact, the Dub Zero is even regarded as a tribute to Tinker Hatfield, the man responsible for designing some of the most iconic Air Jordan silhouettes. Back in mid-September, a brand new colorway of the Dub Zero was unveiled for the model’s return in November 2016, but apparently it is not the only one.
The Jordan Dub Zero is recognized as Jordan Brand’s first hybrid model that was not a part of the Air Jordan series or the Jumpman’s lifestyle lineup. In fact, it was the Dub Zero that had set the trend for Jordan Brand to drop future hybrids like the Jordan Spiz’ike. Although initial colorways of the silhouette had simpler hues incorporated into them like Black, Red and White, but it has also sported more extravagant and vibrant colors as well. The colorway that had been unveiled last month had Grey- and Volt-colored accents over Black- and White-colored uppers, but this other one looks a bit more ominous.
This new colorway of the Jordan Dub Zero has been dubbed “Oreo” and judging from the latest, official photos of the sneaker that have been published, it can be seen why. This Dub Zero colorway is almost entirely dressed up in Black, with overlays that feature laser graphics. However, this iteration gets its nickname from the minimal portions of the sneaker, namely around the heels and over the midsoles, which are not only plain White but are also covered in Black-colored speckles. All of the branding on this sneaker is also in White.
While the colorway that had been unveiled earlier does not have a release date yet, this much is confirmed that the Dub Zero will indeed be among November 2016’s Jordan releases. In fact, it has been confirmed that this particular Jordan Dub Zero “Oreo” will actually hit the shelves on November 9th and will retail for $185.
