Technically, the very first photos that unveiled the Jordan Eclipse back in February were actually unofficial images. Many Jordanheads are mistaken that that the Eclipse is just another Nike Roshe Run pair that Jordan Brand intends to sell at a higher price. Despite the similarity between Jordan Brand’s newest lifestyle model and Nike’s Roshe Run, the off court new jordans arriving at retailers on one of the upcoming Jordan release dates 2015 is an entirely new creation.
It would not be wrong to consider the Roshe Run an overpriced sneaker, but there is a valid reason why Jordan Brand is charging more for their new lifestyle model. Some of the most coveted Air Jordan sneakers served as a source of inspiration for the Eclipse. For instance, the same complicated mold that is used for the midsole tooling of the Air Jordan 3 has also been utilized for the Eclipse’s midsole too.
Moreover, the heel of the midsole also contains a Zoom Air unit within it. Instead of a mesh construction like Roshe Run, a myriad of different textiles have been used to make the Eclipse’s upper more breathable and lightweight, while its neoprene tongue is the same as that of the Air Jordan 7. Above all, a Roshe sneaker has never featured the extra padding and piping that the Eclipse is equipped.
Jordan Brand has not only officially introduced the Jordan Eclipse in its “Deep Royal Blue” colorway, however, photos of all-black (with white sole) and all-white colorways of the model have also surfaced on the Internet. Keeping the above information in mind, hopefully Jordanheads now realize that Jordan Brand’s new lifestyle sneaker is worth the price. Since April 1st is one of the Jordan release dates 2015 confirmed for the Eclipse’s retail debut, perhaps sneaker collectors will considering copping a pair on April Fools’ Day.
