Black Friday marked the highly-anticipated return of the Air Jordan 3 OG 88 “True Blue,” which joined Holiday 2016’s Air Jordan releases by arriving at retailers like Finish Line and Nike SNKRS. Unexpectedly though, the sneaker began to hit the shelves at certain retailers on November 23rd. Boutiques through the United States like Oneness and Trophy Room had the sneaker available earlier than its scheduled release. As for sneakerheads who did not or were not able to cop a pair of the Air Jordan 3 “True Blue,” they will have to opportunity to grab something special if they did not already buy original Air Jordan 3 “Cyber Monday.”
The “Cyber Monday” colorway of the Air Jordan 3 was the first iteration of the model that Jordan Brand dropped following its brief 2-year hiatus. Of course, judging from its nickname, it was only natural to assume that Jordan Brand would drop the sneaker on Cyber Monday. However, that did not end up happening and sneakerheads were able to get their hands on a pair when this sneaker made its earlier than expected retail debut on October 15th. Even though this probably delight many, Cyber Monday 2016 is now without a special sneaker release from Jordan Brand, or so it may have seemed.
Sneakerheads would probably not think that Jordan Brand would drop the Air Jordan 3 “Cyber Monday” once again. Fortunately, they will be releasing a “Cyber Monday” rendition of the Air Jordan 31. For a special Cyber Monday release, this sneaker definitely looks luxurious because of its quilted leather and suede uppers that are dressed up entirely in tonal Black, paired with clean, off-whitish Sail-colored soles. Additionally, some embossed overlays can also be spotted at the heels and its tongues even feature the “Nike Air” branding.
Not only does this Air Jordan 31 iteration look more like a lifestyle variation, it even seems to borrowing from the Don C collaborative releases. This time, the Air Jordan 31 “Cyber Monday” is indeed arriving at retailers on the day that it should, i.e. on November 28th.
