The earlier Jordan releases 2017 that arrived at retailers included sneakers from Jordan Brand “Take Flight” Pack, all of which were inspired by bomber jackets and fighter airplanes. Along with brand new colorways of the Air Jordan 5 and Air Jordan 8, this pack also included the returning Air Jordan 15 “Stealth.” Despite having been unveiled back in 2016, the three sneakers ended up hitting the shelves this year, on different dates between January and February. It may have seemed that Jordan Brand was done with the “Flight Jacket” theme, but apparently more similar Air Jordan iterations are already lined up to debut in the coming months.
First and foremost, there is an entire “Flight Suit” Collection coming up, which includes nothing but multiple Air Jordan 5 Retro colorways. In total, there appear to be five different colorways of the Air Jordan 5 that are a part of this collection. Sneakerheads might already be aware of two of them, namely the two Blue- and Red-colored suede iterations. Also included are brand new “Camo” and “Cement” colorways that will be making their way to retailers for the very first time. Last but not least, there is also an Air Jordan 5 Pinnacle/Premium “Triple Black” iteration, which will reportedly retail at a price of $400.
While not a part of the mentioned “Flight Suit” Collection, Jordan Brand also seems to have whipped up an Air Jordan 6 Pinnacle “Flight Jacket” iteration, which can be seen above. As many readers may have guessed, this particular colorway draws inspiration from the olive-colored bomber jacket that Michael Jordan wore back in 1991 when he appeared on Saturday Night Live. This Air Jordan 6 Pinnacle iteration actually looks quite identical, with quilted uppers that are dressed up in the same Olive hue, while it also sports some Black- and White-colored detailing.
Jordan Brand’s “Flight Suit” releases are scheduled to begin hitting the shelves on different dates. In fact, the red suede Air Jordan 5 Retro “Flight Suit West” has has already made its retail debut on July 1st. The Air Jordan 5 Pinnacle “Black” will arrive on July 8th, the Air Jordan 5 Retro “Cement” will arrive on August 5th, the Air Jordan 5 Retro “Camo” will arrive on September 2nd. Finally, the blue suede Air Jordan 5 Retro “Flight Suit East” will arrive on September 30th. Moreover, the Air Jordan 6 Pinnacle “Flight Jacket” will reportedly be joining August’s Air Jordan releases 2017 and will retail for $225.
