The 2017 Quai 54 World Streetball Championship is apparently scheduled to span from July 8th to July 9th, 2017 and will be taking place at La Pelouse de Reuilly in Paris, France. Pelouse de Reuilly or the lawn of Reuilly, named after the the Reuilly Gate, is an expansive space with trees surrounding it. Like every year, the annual basketball tournament once again heading back to Paris, so Jordan Brand is set to drop entire collection lined up to join upcoming Summer Air Jordan releases 2017. So far, it has been revealed that Jordan Brand’s Air Jordan “Quai 54” Collection will include colorways of three different Air Jordan models.
The first of these special sneakers that Jordan Brand will be dropping in commemoration of Quai 54 is the Jordan Formula 23. This Formula 23 iteration looks relatively simple, with mesh uppers dressed up predominantly in Black, while also featuring Blue-, Red- and White-colored detailing as a nod to the French flag. The sneaker is also equipped with Nike Dry mesh inner lining and White-colored rubber outsoles.
The second of these three sneakers is the Air Jordan 31 Low, which is also joining upcoming Air jordan releases 2017 in “Home” and “Away” colorways. Like the Formula 23, this Air Jordan 31 Low iteration appears to have Flyweave uppers featuring a fading gradient effect that transitions from Black to White, from the toe boxes towards the heels. Once again also borrowing the colors from the French flag, Red- and Blue-colored accents can also be spotted over the midsoles. Furthermore, its tongues feature the “Quai 54” branding and each heel features a White-colored “Jumpman” logo. It also seems to be equipped with White-colored midsoles and icy, Blue-colored translucent outsoles.
Finally, the third sneaker from 2017’s “Quai 54” Collection is this Air Jordan 1 High, which is probably the most unique compared to the other three aforementioned sneakers. Thematically, it is similar to the Lance Mountain x Nike SB Air Jordan 1 because of the mismatched accents that it features. Much like other three sneakers, this one is also predominantly dressed up in sleek Black, i.e. its suede uppers and midsoles. Also drawing inspiration from Paris, it also appears to be sporting Blue- and Red-colored detailing as well.
Sneakerheads who are familiar with Jordan Brand’s Quai 54 releases from the past may have likely guessed that these sneakers will likely be the first European-exclusive Jordan releases 2017. It is being reported that these Air Jordan 1 High, Air Jordan 31 Low and Jordan Formula 23 “Quai 54” releases will be arriving at select retailers, most likely just in Europe, on July 8th, 2017.
