Last month, Jordan Brand celebrated the opening of their Yonge 306 flagship location in Toronto with a collaborative sneaker release. This release was the OVO x Jordan Trunner LX, which was among the very first Jordan releases during the second week of June. Since it was OVO-themed, the sneaker was dressed up in a combination of Black and White with Gold-colored accents. Of course, this was an a limited-edition release, so Jordan Brand had produced merely 280 pairs, all of which were exclusively available at Yonge 306 store. The Jordan Trunner LX seems to be a part of another upcoming collaborative release, this time involving rapper Travis Scott.
Back in May, Travis Scott had also collaborated with Nike for the Air VaporMax “Day to Night” collection. Travis wore the Air VaporMax for the very first time during a performance and he not only found them comfortable, he claims that he “was flying” while performing in them. Apparently, the Air Jordan 1 is a favorite of Travis because he claims to have worn some of the model’s popular colorways during his recent tour rotation, such as the “Bred,” “Royal” and “Shattered Backboard.” The Air Max 97 also happens to be his most favorite silhouette from Nike’s Air Max line.
However, Travis Scott seems to be a part of a brand new collaboration with Jordan Brand and the Jordan Trunner LX seems to be at the center of it. Travis posted several photos of the running and training shoes on his official Instagram account (@travisscott), which includes the photo accompanying this post. Also included is a photo of the box, which refers to this colorway as “Sail/White-Hyper Cobalt-Artic,” which are basically all of the hues that appear over the laceless shoes in varying quantities. The shoes also feature the branding of the Cactus Jack Records label that Travis Scott launched back in March.
Travis Scott has actually drop hints suggesting that upcoming Jordan releases 2017 might include more colorways of this collaborative variation of these shoes. As for this very first Travis Scott x Jordan Trunner LX, there is currently not much information available about when it will arrive at retailers.
