Jordan Brand Recently Dropped Three New Colorways Of The Air Jordan 2 Deconstructed

Air Jordan 2 seems to have become a popular choice for special releases. As of lately, there have not been that many regular Air Jordan 2 releases. Ever since last year though, the Air Jordan 2 has been a part of several collaborative releases between Jordan Brand and Just Don. The last of these, which was among this year’s Jordan releases 2017, was the “Arctic Orange” colorway that made its limited retail debut on January 31st. June 2017 also marked the Air Jordan 2 “Alumni.” Several months ago, the Air Jordan 2 also received the Deconstructed treatment and this Decon variation recently arrived in three new colorways.

As sneakerheads may recall, Jordan Brand’s seemingly newfound designer to take part some of its most iconic sneaker models started with the Air Jordan 1 High. Back then, many sneakerheads were probably not even sure what “Deconstructed” was referring to, although it may have ended up becoming obvious from the unusual appearance of its uppers. The Air Jordan 1 High had literally been deconstructed because no layering or paneling could be spotted over its uppers. Additionally, there was not even any paneling inside the sneaker, which is how the original Chuck Taylor All-Star was. The Air Jordan 1 High “Deconstructed” could be best described as minimal-looking.

Three different colorways of the Air Jordan 2 Deconstructed ended up joining May’s Air Jordan releases 2017 and now three news ones recently made their retail debut. Much like the three iterations that hit the shelves late in May, Jordan Brand took a minimalist approach towards these news ones as well, so their uppers are made up mostly of deconstructed suede panels. These new iterations feature barely any padding and they are not equipped with any heel support, which makes them unsuitable to be worn on a basketball court. The three latest colorways of the Air Jordan 2 Deconstructed include a “Rio Beige,” a “Thunder Blue” and a Triple Black” one.

This minimalist approach that Jordan Brand has been taking towards its signature basketball sneakers almost makes them look like unusual lifestyle shoes. Regardless, these three new Air Jordan 2 Deconstructed colorways already ended up hitting the shelves on July 15th, 2017, and they should hopefully still be available.
