Apparently, the Air Jordan 12 seems to be the model of choice for collaborations between Jordan Brand and PSNY. The first of these PSNY x Air Jordan 12 releases took place two years. It ended up retailing at a relatively higher price of $300 on December 12th, 2015. This Air Jordan 12 iteration collaboratively designed by Jordan Brand and PSNY sported a monochromatic look, with tonal premium suede that were dressed up in Dark Grey. Of course, the sneaker also featured the logos of both brands. Jordan Brand and PSNY have once again collaboratively designed three brand new Air Jordan 12 colorways, which look similarly monochromatic.
The PSNY x Air Jordan 12 was regarded as one of 2015’s best Air Jordan releases and the sneaker ended up hitting the shelves in extremely limited numbers. Similarly, these three upcoming colorways could even end up being some of the best Air Jordan releases 2017. However, during New York Fashion Week at PSNY’s 2016 Fall/Winter show, another exclusive PSNY x Air Jordan 12 pair. This iteration was slightly similar to the Air Jordan 12 Low “Playoff” and was a Friends & Family version, so only people like DJ Clark Kent and Ronnie Fieg were able to lace up in and rock the sneaker.
The above single photo that showcases all three of the PSNY x Air Jordan 12 colorways together was posted on Instagram by @zsneakerheadz. It is obvious that these three sneakers resemble the first PSNY x Air Jordan 12 release, although they do not feature a premium suede construction. Rather, the uppers of all three sneakers are made up of the traditional nubuck material, but it can be seen that they they are all monochromatic and tonal. Each sneaker appears to be dressed up completely in a Wheat, Navy Blue and Burgundy hue, respectively.
It is being rumored that these three PSNY x Air Jordan 12 colorways will end up joining June’s Air Jordan releases 2017. However, it turns out that each of these colorways will exclusively hit the shelves in specific cities.
