This Wednesday, the Brazilian men’s football team progressed to the Olympic quarter final by defeating Denmark with a score of 4-0, defying the odds and proving all the naysayers wrong. During their first two games, the Brazil national team had to face South Africa and then Iraq, unfortunately they failed at scoring any goals against those two teams, for which they got heavily criticized. In fact, they had to quickly exit off the pitch both the times due to the fans booing them. With Neymar once again leading his team to victory, hopefully those fans will be more excited to cop his latest Jordan releases.
While the Brazil national team has made it to the Olympic quarter final, they will have to face Team Columbia in the now, which could prove to be quite challenging. At least, sneakerheads have something to look forward to. It was quite flabbergasting when Jordan Brand had unveiled its wide-ranging Neymar Collection. By collaborating with FC Barcelona’s forward, Jordan Brand expanded its horizons and proved that the move was well worth it. It turns out that Jordan Brand has decided to extend its partnership with Neymar by whipping up a brand new Jordan Trainer 1 iteration named after him.
It is obvious that Jordan Brand wishes to create sufficient buzz around its highly innovative, new cross-training silhouette. Following Nike’s new deal with the University of Michigan, they also received an exclusive colorway and September is scheduled to mark the retail debut of a “Banned” rendition as well. The elephant print-bearing, Jacquard woven uppers of the version seen here are dressed up in a combination of Anthracite and Black, while Infrared 23 detailing can be spotted throughout. The heels and the tongues sport both Jordan Brand’s and Neymar’s branding as evidence of the collaboration.
The Infrared 23 accents visible on this trainer tend to make it resemble the previous Jordan Brand x Neymar releases, to some extent. With the sneaker having already hit the shelves on August 7th, it should be possible to cop a pair right away.
