This year, Jordanheads have seen the rise of luxury sneakers, with upscale pairs being designed by fashion houses. After introducing several off-court luxury models, Jordan Brand apparently decided that they wanted their signature sneaker silhouettes to sport premium qualities as well, and that is how the Pinnacle Pack was born. However, despite having made its US retail debut by the end of May, it seems that upcoming Jordan release dates 2015 may mark the arrival of more Pinnacle colorways.
Following the delay in the originally scheduled mid-February drop of the “Pinnacle” Pack, a photo was leaked that revealed an all-Gold pair dressed up in synthetic snakeskin that was not part of the pack. Rumor has it that the pair features real 24 carat gold branding. It seems that sneakerheads have not seen the last of the Pinnacle releases just yet because recently leaked photos indicate that another new pair is on its way.
These new “Pinnacle” iterations of the Air Jordan 1 are apparently samples. One of the pairs that can be seen in this recently leaked photo is being referred to as the “Gold Caviar” colorway that appears to be dressed up in a Metallic Gold hue and is the same all-Gold pair previewed back in April. The other colorway appears to be more muted and neutral, with an upper that is covered in distinctive spotted camouflage print. Of course, like the other two “Pinnacle” Air Jordan 1 sneakers that have hit the shelves, these two colorways also featured gold plated accents like the Jordan “Wings logo,” white sole units and waxed laces.
If these new Air Jordan 1 “Pinnacle” renditions are indeed samples, then Jordanheads should be prepared that these sneakers may never arrive at retailers on one of the upcoming Jordan release dates 2015. Nonetheless, sneakerheads who grew fond of the first “Pinnacle” batch are probably still hopeful about getting their hands on these colorways.
