It was back in 2002 when Jordan Brand unveiled the Low form of their sixth signature sneaker model to the global sneaker community. Many Jordanheads probably recognize the Air Jordan 6 Low for being the sneaker that Michael Jordan wore when he was headed towards winning the very first championship of his career. After the “Oreo” iteration of the model was revealed not so long ago, the Air Jordan 6 Low will also be hitting the shelves in a “Chrome” colorway on one of the upcoming Jordan release dates 2015.
The original Air Jordan 6 Low can also be recalled for having prominently received the Infrared treatment. In fact, the Summer Jordan releases 2015 will also mark the return of the Air Jordan 6 Low “White/Infrared 23,” which draws inspiration from the legendary “Black/Infrared 23” of the high-top version. However, it was the Black and Metallic Silver color combination that was the most prominent in the case of the Jordan 6 Low and after a long hiatus; it is finally making a comeback this Summer.
Returning as the “Chrome” colorway, the upper of this pair is made of black nubuck leather. The all-Black base of this sneaker allows the Chrome or Metallic Silver hue to really stand out, which makes a prominent appearance on the midsole. Similarly, the heel tab, Jordan Jumpman on the tongue and the lace lock are also covered in the same Chrome hue. Adding the finishing touch, the translucent outsole has received an icy blue treatment as a result of which it contrasts quite well with the Black and Chrome color combo.
No doubt, this is quite a dark pair due to its nearly all-Black look, but the minor touches of Chrome do pop out and still add enough glimmer to this sneaker. As per the rumors, the Air Jordan 6 Low “Chrome” is slated to retail debut on one of the upcoming Jordan release dates 2015, or more specifically, it will likely hit the shelves on August 22nd.
