The introduction of Jordan Brand’s Remastered Program this year marked the return of a number of iconic and upgraded colorways of classic Air Jordan models. However, it does not mean that this trend is going to come to a halt once 2016 arrives. The fact that the OG “White Cement” iteration of the Air Jordan 4 from 1989 is going to make a comeback on one of the Jordan release dates 2016 is proof of this.
When the “Nike Air” branding was once again featured on the Air Jordan 3 Retro ’88 that arrived at retailers back in 2013, it took the sneaker community by storm. Similarly, Jordanheads are likely looking forward to this upcoming release with utmost excitement even though retro versions of the sneaker have already been released several times before. Jordan Brand had originally dropped the Air Jordan 4 OG “White Cement” back in 1989 as a tribute to Michael Jordan’s legendary free throw line dunk. Multiple sources, including other well-known sneaker blogs, have confirmed that classic Air Jordan 4 rendition will indeed make its way back to retailers next
Much like the original kicks from ’89, the returning remastered edition also sports an upper, which entirely consists of premium White leather, while the Black and Cement Grey hues are visible throughout, even in the form of speckles. The sole unit also features a combination of Black, Cement Grey and White, with the heel containing a Nike Air bubble. To add the finishing touch to the remastered OG makeup of this sneaker, Jordan Brand has also added a Black, embossed “Nike Air” logo on the heel, while a Red Jordan Jumpman can be spotted on the tongue.
Even though it is far too early for Jordan Brand to announce one of the Jordan release dates 2016 for the return of the Air Jordan 4 OG “White Cement” from 1989. However, Jordanheads can still take this news as confirmation that this classic Air Jordan 4 colorway will definitely hit the shelves next year.
