Jordan Brand is not exclusively focused on producing basketball shoes. In the past, they have transformed specific models from their signature numbered series into baseball cleats. Not so long ago, they even introduced the NikeCourt Zoom Vapor Air Jordan 3 in collaboration with tennis legend, Roger Federer. Considering that golf is another favorite sport / pastime of Michael Jordan after basketball and baseball, it is not surprising that Jordan Brand have taken an interest in dropping their own golf cleats. This time around, they have utilized the Air Jordan 9 as the base for these two new golf cleats.
One of these Air Jordan 9 golf cleats actually resembles the recently released “Black / White” colorway of the model’s low-top form. The Air Jordan 9 Low “Black / White” just recently arrived at worldwide stores, such as BSTN, on April 16th and those who missed out might still be able to cop it for $170. Two other tonal Air Jordan 9 iterations are also scheduled to hit the shelves this year, namely the Air Jordan 9 Low “Infrared” and “Pantone.” Perhaps any golfers reading might even be interested in grabbing a pair of both or either of these Air Jordan 9 golf cleats.
As mentioned, one of these Air Jordan 9 golf cleats appears to inspired by the Chicago Bulls (even though they have nothing to do with golf) and looks almost like an exact replica of the “Black / White” rendition. The other Air Jordan 9 cleats are apparently dubbed “Birmingham Barons” for some reason and are dressed up in a combination of grey and white, while also featuring pinstriped linings. These cleats could easily pass off as regular Air Jordan 9 basketball sneakers if it was not for the spikes or studs beneath their soles.
Generally, it is collectors of basketball shoes and fans of the sport who keep their eyes peeled for their latest Jordan releases. However, surely many Jordanheads also play golf every now and then, and they would like want to add both or one of these Air Jordan 9 golf cleats to their collection, which are currently retailing at a price of $225 each.
