Jordan Brand Gifts Ray Allen This “Hall Of Fame” Air Jordan PE Collection

On the night of September 7th, Ray Allen was inducted into the Naismith Hall of Fame. The NBA legend appeared quite graceful as he gave his acceptance speech, taking pride in his two NBA championship victories with two different teams. He also praised the 2008 Boston Celtics roster, despite his feud with them after he joined and played as a member of the Miami Heat, between 2012 and 2014. Some of his former Celtics teammates did not even call to congratulate him. However, Jordan Brand did not forget that he is a part of the family and sent him an Air Jordan PE set to honor his prestigious career.

The Air Jordan 28 “Locked And Loaded”

Earlier this year, back in May to be specific, Jordan Brand commemorated the three-point field goal that Ray Allen made when there were just 5.2 seconds left in Game 6 of the 2013 NBA Finals. It was Ray’s three-pointer that tied the game and ensured that the Miami Heat managed to progress in the series and eventually win the NBA championship. Nike’s “Art Of A Champion” collection included an Air Jordan 28 colorway dubbed “Locked and Loaded,” which was a tribute to Ray Allen’s game-tying three-pointer. The Miami Heat scored a total of 95 points in that game, so the right and left shoes featured “9” and “5,” respectively.

Ray Allen’s “Hall Of Fame” Air Jordan PE Collection

Gentry Humphrey, who is Jordan Brand’s current VP of Footwear, recently paid a visit to Ray Allen to congratulate him on his Hall of Fame induction. Not only that, Gentry brought with him an “incredible trunk” containing four different Air Jordan PEs, a gift to Ray from the entire Jordan Brand family. As you have already seen, the trunk contains an Air Jordan 9, an Air Jordan 11, an Air Jordan 20, and an Air Jordan 28. Much like the aforementioned Air Jordan 28 “Locked And Loaded,” these four PEs also commemorate some of the most historic and unforgettable moments of Ray Allen’s Hall of Fame NBA career.
