It was between 1998 and 1999 when the Air Jordan 14 had originally debuted as Jordan Brand’s first signature model to be introduced following Michael Jordan’s second retirement from the NBA. Jordan Brand had initially dropped eight colorways, three of which were of its low top variation. With the exception of its low top version, the Air Jordan 14 has always been regarded as one of the best Air Jordan models, which has always arrived in desirable colorways. One such colorway is the “Indiglo,” which is one of the originals and is scheduled to be among August 2016’s upcoming Jordan release.
The year 2016 is also scheduled to mark the return of the Air Jordan 14 “Oxidized Green” as well, which is also an original colorway. Back in the summer of 2000, an exclusive “UNC” iteration had surprisingly arrived only at Eastbay. The Air Jordan 14 went on a five-year hiatus and it made its comeback, receving the retro treatment for the very first time. The Air Jordan 14 has been on hiatus on and off, having surfaced in 2005, 2006, 2008, 2011, and in 2014. However, for those who do not know, the Air Jordan 14 “Indilgo” returning after seventeen years.
The wait is finally over because the Air Jordan 14 “Indiglo” is almost is set to make its highly-awaited comeback. As mentioned, the “Indigo” was among the original colorways that Jordan Brand had dropped back in 1999 and it had been reported that it be a part of the Jumpman’s remastered initiative this year. Its uppers, which are made up of durabuck and tumbled leather, are dressed up almost entirely in Black, while this iteration receives some pops of colors from all the Vivid Green and White accents covering it.
After a very long wait, the Air Jordan 14 “Indiglo” will once again arrive at retailers on August 13th. According to Jordan Brand, both men’s- and GS-sized pairs will be available, which will retail at a price of $190 and $140, respectively.
