The “BHM” colorway of the Air Jordan 1 that Jordan Brand whipped up in collaboration with Just Don was perhaps the most most remarkable iteration of the silhouette in recent times. However, Jordan Brand has also provided Jordanheads (including 23isBack readers) with the opportunity to cop iterations like the “Chicago” and “UNC” colorways. This time around it is the more subtle strapped “Black/White” rendition of the Air Jordan 1 High that has already arrived at retailers without any prior hints to potential Jordan release dates 2015.
While this particular colorway of this hightop new jordans is relatively bold, the profile that it sports is quite simplistic despite the presence of the ankle straps. In fact, the ankle straps and the fact that the upper of this pair consists of nylon actually makes it resemble a Vandal, however, leather overlays are also featured on the upper. Apparently, this is not only the only colorway of this strapped silhouette that sneakerheads (including 23 is Back readers) will be able to cop, since more are expected to arrive in the coming months.
Considering the simplicity of this sneaker’s color palette, the entire upper of this pair and even its outsole are pitch black, which would make it appear rather dark-colored and drab if it was not for the presence of a more lighter hue like White. Apart from the camouflaged black Jordan “Wings” logo on the side, white covers the Jordan Jumpman & Air on the tongue, the midsole and the Nike Swoosh, brightening up this pair. Another white Jordan “Wings” logo and a white stripe can also be spotted on the ankle strap, adding some balance to the color scheme.
Jordanheads (including 23isBack readers) are probably surprised that no potential Jordan release dates 2015 had been hinted before this colorway actually hit the shelves. However, the fact of the matter is that this Air Jordan 1 High Strap “Black/White” has already made its way to select retail stores and can now be copped at a price of $125.
