Jordan Brand’s experiments with hybrid sneakers have always been successful so far. Over the years, 23isBack readers have likely seen numerous Air Jordan hybrids from LAB series that end up getting sold out soon after the hit the shelves and even after they have been restocked. It almost seemed that LAB series would take the back seat to other releases; Jordan Brand whipped up the Air Jordan 11LAB4 and decided that the pair should make its retail debut on one of the Jordan releases 2015.
Jordan Brand has been creating buzz around the Air Jordan 11LAB4 for quite some time now. Photos of the hybrid sneaker continue to surface from time to time, but this has been going on since the final months of 2014. Once again, rather than providing sneakerheads with hints that point towards a potential release, Jordan Brand unveiled more photos of these upcoming new jordans. Obviously, the more 23 is Back readers wait for the release of this hybrid pair, the more thrilled they will end up once it actually hits the shelves.
Despite the fact that “11” precedes the “4” in this hybrid’s name, this pair is actually made up of an Air Jordan 4 base that has been topped with elements that are typically seen on the Air Jordan 11. The shiny Air Jordan 4 upper of this hybrid pair consists of a combination of black ballistic mesh and black patent leather. Although this sneaker is primarily pitch black, it gets some contrast courtesy of the white laces and the touch of white on the equally shiny sole.
The latest photos of the Air Jordan 11LAB4 are certainly much clearer than previous ones. From the looks of it, the hybrid pair does has not borrowed the icy, translucent sole from the Air Jordan 11. Nonetheless, even though the design of this sneaker is quite straightforward, it is certainly not dull and 23isBack readers will not regret copping it. Of course, Jordan Brand is still hush-hush about when the Air Jordan 11LAB4 will hit the shelves, but it will be happening on one of the Jordan release dates 2015.
