Hiroshi Fujiwara’s Fragment Design x Air Jordan 1 Is A Limited Edition Sneaker

Hiroshi Fujiwara – the highly esteemed designer and icon – officially shed light on the fact that his Fragment Design label was collaborating with Nike. While present at an event in Tokyo, Japan at the POOL aoyama, he unveiled three different sneakers he designed in collaboration with Nike, one of which was the super limited Fragment Design x Air Jordan 1 Retro. The collaboration also consisted of the Nike Roshe LD-1000 SP and the Nike Sock Dart.

Out of three models that Hiroshi unveiled, there is no doubt that Jordanheads, had been particularly keeping their eyes peeled for the Fragment Design x Air Jordan 1. The Nike Roshe LD-1000 SP hit the shelves earlier on November 7th, 2014, and the Nike Sock Dart made its retail debut on December 18th, 2014. Now, all that remains is to wait for the Fragment Design x Air Jordan 1’s retail debut on December 27th, 2014, which is going to happen very soon.

Apparently, Hiroshi Fujiwara had been considering working with Jordan Brand for quite some time. According to Hiroshi himself, he decided to design an Air Jordan 1 because he wears different colorways of the sneaker model quite frequently. He also claims that he has used materials that are quite identical to those that the original Air Jordan 1 was made from. Moreover, he has used a special black for the sneaker’s toe box, apparently the same black hue that has appeared on “Black Toe” Air Jordans.

Hiroshi also mentioned that he somewhat came up with the black and blue color combination for this legit collaboration sneaker out of the blue, just because he felt it would make these kicks look mysterious. The combination of a white leather upper with black and royal blue overlays on top does indeed look unique. Moreover, just like the original, tongue features the “Nike Air” branding and the Fragment Design lightning bolt logo is embossed on the heel. Considering that December 27th, 2014 has been confirmed as the release date of Fragment Design x Air Jordan 1, so grab a pair from sneakeheadclub.com for 400$ before this limited release is sold out.
