This year, many of Jordan Brand’s Air Jordan models received the laser cut treatment. The Air Jordan 1 was also one of those models. The Air Jordan 1 High “Laser” featured an impressive display of lasered illustrations throughout its Reflective Silver construction, as a result of which it has become the preferred choice for sneaker customizers looking for a base shoe. Even though there has not been a Jordan release 2015 of the numerous custom Air Jordan 1 Laser iterations that have been crafted in recent times, it is not surprising customizers like Hippieneal decide to utilize the Air Jordan 1 Laser as their base silhouette.
It is not surprising that Hippieneal chose the Air Jordan 1 High Laser as the base and canvas for his custom creation. The thing that really distinguishes his custom sneaker is the fact that he drew inspiration from the Nike SB Dunk Low “Pigeon” for it. It was back in 2005 when the sneaker had taken the sneaker community by storm, evidenced by the number of people who had gathered outside the New York-based Reed Space in order to grab a pair. Even the police had to arrive at the scene to control the rioting crowd, which is understandable since Nike had merely dropped 150 pairs of the sneaker worldwide.
Obviously, this makes the Air Jordan 1 Laser “Piegon” even more special. While still retaining its laser etching featured on the overlays, this custom rendition is dressed up in the same color scheme as that of the Nike SB Dunk Low “Pigeon” and the two look almost identical. In fact, the pigeon logo that the Nike Dunk SB Low had featured can also be spotted on the heel of this pair. It is a shame that the Jordan release 2015 of such a dope sneaker like this one cannot be expected to take place. Nonetheless, Jordanheads can still admire the Air Jordan 1 High Laser “Pigeon” custom on Hippieneal’s Instagram.
