A Team USA pre-practice meeting took place in Rio de Janeiro and Kobe Bryant was in attendance, drenched in sweat following a strenuous workout routine. Kobe was known for having quite a resolute work ethic and his offseason routine has always been very illustrious. Almost 9 years ago, Kobe Bryant himself was a part of the U.S. Olympic team, although this year he is not because of his retirement. However, much like in the Beijing 2008 and the London 2012 Olympics, Team USA aims to win gold again. Despite being occupied with the Olympics, it is likely that sneakerheads have not forgotten about the Air Jordan Kobe Pack.
It was earlier in 2016 when Kobe Bryant’s illustrious career and unexpected retirement was commemorated by Jordan Brand with the unveiling of a complete Air Jordan Collection created exclusively for The Black Mamba. At least, apparently most of those Air Jordan iterations had been designed just for Kobe himself. The Air Jordan 3 and the Air Jordan 8 from the collection had apparently been produced in larger numbers, unfortunately not for the general public. Only friends and family of Kobe received the sneakers in special packaging, but that is not what got sneakerheads excited.
One particular thing that sneakerheads managed to notice about the box set was it had been unveiled was that it appeared as if it had been designed to eventually arrive at retailers at some point. However, ever since the unveiling of the Air Jordan Kobe Pack, Jordan Brand has been rather silent. So far, no one knows whether or not the any sneakers from the collection, perhaps the Air Jordan 3 and the Air Jordan 8, will ever hit the shelves and be available for sneakerheads to cop. Kicks like these are always highly coveted and desired within the sneaker community, so it is understandable why they are so eager to get more news about the pack, so stay tuned.
