This GS-Exclusive Air Jordan 12 Apparently Draws its Inspiration The Charlotte Hornets

During the 2015–16 NBA season, the Charlotte Hornets were victorious against the Minnesota Timberwolves scoring single digits n both of their match-ups. In the Eastern Conference playoffs, the Hornets had managed to earn the sixth seed because of their topnotch performance. Ramon Sessions and Roy Hibbert have also come to the Hornets, while Cody Zeller will likely end up filling the team’s starting center spot. This season, it seems that the Charolotte Hornets will get even better and make further progress. With the Hornets showing no signs of slowing down, Jordan Brand has apparently drawn inspiration from them for the latest Air Jordan 12 colorway.

Kemba Walker will not be participating since he has not yet recovered from a knee surgery that he recently underwent. Brian Roberts and Mike Tobey will also likely not be there. Winter is approaching and while the 2016–17 season does not officially begun until October 26th, this month there will be several preseason games that the Hornets will participate in. Apparently, the Hornets are also busy developing some of their younger athletes like Cody Zeller and Frank Kaminsky.

Much like the Charlotte Hornets, Jordan Brand also seems to be showing no signs of slowing down with its Air Jordan 12 releases. In fact, this latest iteration will end up being among October 2016’s Jordan releases. Jordan Brand has already dropped the OVO “White” and “Wool” iterations of the Air Jordan 12, and now this rendition dubbed “Dark Purple Dust” will arrive exclusively in GS sizes. Its premium leather uppers are clean White, but it gets its nickname from the Dark Purple Hue that can be spotted over the branding, heels, inner linings, laces, midsoles and outsoles.

Regardless, small-footed sneakerheads will merely have to wait till October 8 for this Air Jordan 12 GS “Dark Purple Dust” to hit the shelves and retail for $140.
