Not so long ago, a news/release update about the Air Jordan 4 GS “Pearl” was posted on 23 is Back. Jordan Brand was dropping that pair on Valentine’s Day in commemoration of their 30th Anniversary, but it seems that it will not be the only one. However, instead of consisting of a similar spotless pearlescent upper, this “30th Anniversary” Air Jordan 1 iteration pays homage Michael Jordan’s initial year in the NBA. Since one of the Jordan release date 2015 had already been confirmed, so this Air Jordan 1 colorway has already hit the shelves in extended gradeschool sizing.
In recent months, Jordan Brand has been making an effort to revitalize and expand their Girls line of Air new Jordans. Moreover, Jordan Brand recently dropped their All-Star “Pearl” Collection, which includes renditions of prominent Air Jordan silhouettes that look like they belong in the LAB Series. This “30th Anniversary” colorway of the Air Jordan 1, which has also been dubbed “Sand Dune/Cannon/Flat Gold,” fits somewhere in between.
The entire upper of this GS version of the Air Jordan 1 is dressed in a Sand Dune hue and has adopted a crackled texture throughout even over the Nike Swoosh. The crackled texture is apparently the Elephant Print that is etched into the leather. Both the laces and the Nike Swoosh are also Sand Dune-colored. This pair gets some contrast from the Cannon-colored inner lining and ‘Nike Air’ tongue tab. To add even more sophistication to the already simple color scheme and composition of this Air Jordan 1, the upper rests upon a white sole. Finally, to make it more like a Jordan Brand sneaker, the ankle region also sports an iridescent Jordan Wings logo.
As of lately, numerous Air Jordan sneakers have hit the shelves on this month’s Jordan release dates, and many 23 is Back readers may have even copped them. This year, February 14th is not only marking Valentine’s Day but also the retail debut of the Air Jordan 4 Girls “Pearl” and this Air Jordan 1 Girls “30th Anniversary” or “Sand Dune/Cannon/Flat Gold.”
