Hiroshi Fujiwara, the Japanese designer, has been quite busy this year and for fans of Jordan Brand, including 23 is Back readers, this means that 2014 is going to end on a very good note for them. Even though it is the Air Jordan 4lab1 “Glow” that is the final Air Jordan sneaker to be released this year. However, before the last of the 2014 Jordan releases arrives, another sneaker is about the hit the shelves and it bears the Fragment Design lightning bolt branding.
Hiroshi Fujiwara has legendary skills when it comes to designing streetwear, so it is understandable why the Fragment Design x Air Jordan 1 is such a highly anticipated release. Little do 23isBack readers and other Jordanheads know, but Jordan Brand’s remastered retro initiative has already been set into motion with the retail debut of this sneaker. Both the appearance and the materials featured by the Fragment Design x Air Jordan 1 are going to be identical to the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG.
Considering that it is the first of the remastered retros, the quality to of this sneaker can be expected to be quite superior. Indeed, the entire upper of this sneaker is made from premium leather. As for the color scheme, black and blue premium leather overlays have been stitched onto the white premium leather base. The upper itself rests upon a contrasting white midsole and a blue outsole. As mentioned, the heels of the sneakers bear the embossed Fragment Design logo and just like the OG, the Jordan Wings logo is present on the ankle.
23 is Back readers must keep in mind that this is a limited edition sneaker, due to the fact that it has been designed by Hiroshi Fujiwara and is the first remastered pair by Jordan Brand. Fortunately, unlike the other remastered retros with the 2015 Jordan release dates, these kicks do not fall under the $190 price range. Rather, the Fragment Design x Air Jordan 1 will be retailing for a reasonable $165 once they are hit the shelves on December 27.
