The Air Jordan 12 seems to have become somewhat of a model of choice for collaborations between Jordan Brand and Public School New York. The first of these collaborative releases was the immensely popular, suede PSNY x Air Jordan 12 “Dark Grey” that arrived at retailers within a fancy slide-out box back in December 2015. Jordan Brand and PSNY went on to whip up a Black and White colorway of the Air Jordan 12 that was produced in extremely limited quantities as a Friends & Family exclusive. Now, a brand new PSNY x Air Jordan 12 “Olive” colorway has surfaced that could join the other three unveiled back in March.
Over the course of the past two months, three different colorways of the PSNY x Air Jordan 12 were unveiled. Sneakerheads who have already gotten a look at these three PSNY x Air Jordan 12 colorways will likely agree that it resembles the very first PSNY x Air Jordan 12 “Dark Grey” iteration, even though its uppers are not made up of suede. However, all three of them are still dressed up in tonal color schemes, with the uppers made up of nubuck. Nicknamed after their tonal color schemes, these three renditions are dubbed “Bordeaux,” “Navy” and “Wheat,” but apparently there is a fourth colorway.
Most sneakerheads tend to get quite excited whenever they read about a new Public School x Jordan Brand collaboration since the original release was so coveted. Instagram user @s.sam.group just recently shared a photo of a brand new Air Jordan 12 colorway, which from the looks of it could end up joining the other three mentioned above. This iteration is being referred to as “Olive” because of the shade of Light Green that covers the nubuck uppers of this sneaker, including its insoles, “Jumpman” branding on the tongues and its outsoles. Additionally, it is equipped with metal upper eyelets.
Back when the first three PSNY x Air Jordan 12 colorways were unveiled, it was being reported that they could potentially end up joining the Air Jordan releases 2017 in June. So far, it is hard to state if this PSNY x Air Jordan 12 “Olive” is a mere sample or an actual release, but if it is the latter, it would likely hit the shelves with the other three.
