Long before Jordan Brand unveiled their Summer lineup of Air Jordan releases 2018 back in April, it had already been revealed that a brand new Air Jordan 18 Retro colorway was on its way. The Air Jordan 18 originally debuted back in 2003 and this year, it finally received the retro treatment. It made its comeback on January 22nd in the OG “Sport Royal” colorway, which retailed at a price of $225. Back then, no one could have guessed if there would be more Air Jordan 18 releases. By now though, it is obvious that Jordan Brand intends to drop more Air Jordan 18 colorways, including brand new ones.
Following the return of the Air Jordan 18 “Sport Royal,” Jordan Brand later released a brand colorway of the model, which was dubbed “Red Suede.” The Air Jordan 18 “Red Suede” made its retail debut on April 7th, 2018 at a price of $225. Previously, the Air Jordan 5 and the Air Jordan 21 have also arrived in “Red Suede” iterations. Later in June, it was revealed that the OG Black-colored variation of the “Sport Royal” iteration would also be making its comeback this year. However, it seems that tonal suede colorways of the Air Jordan 18 are going to be a recurring theme rather than a one-time occurrence.
Over the course of June, three different tonal suede colorways of the Air Jordan 18 were unveiled and now it seems that a fourth one has joined them. Furthermore, DirtyMoney (@dirtymoney823) has shared some new photos of some of them as well, which can be seen here. These colorways get their “Blue Suede,” “Orange Suede” and “Yellow” suede nicknames from the hue covering their soft suede uppers. They are also equipped with identical translucent midsoles and all-White outsoles. Some mysterious tonal numbering is also stitched onto their shrouds, namely “4ME” (Blue Suede), “86V” (Orange Suede) and “76G” Yellow Suede, which suggests they might be a part of some collaboration.
All four of iterations discussed mentioned in this post are going be among Jordan Brand’s Fall lineup of Air Jordan releases 2018. These Air Jordan 18 “Blue Suede,” “Orange Suede” and “Yellow” suede colorways are going to hit the shelves on September 15 and each will be available at a price of $225. The OG Black-colored variation of the Air Jordan 18 “Sport Royal” from 2002 will return to retail shelves on October 25, 2018 and will also retail for $225 as well.
