This summer, the Fat Joe and Remy Ma song featuring French Montana and Infa Red has a commanding influence on radio. Soon after its release on March 2nd, the song has been remixed multiple times, including the official remix that features an extra verse by Jay Z. Fat Joe has even been working on a reggaeton remix with Daddy Yankee and Nicky Jam. However, along with dropping hot records, Fat Joe has also been a part of sneaker-related headlines due to his exclusive and rare kicks. In fact, one of his Air Jordan 8 Championship Pack PE sneakers was stolen by luggage security in Las Vegas.
However, it turns out that the veteran of the Terror Squad hip hop collective group also has time on his hands to play pranks on unsuspecting people. As of lately, Fat Joe and Remy have been working on a joint album that is titled “Platas o Plomo,” which translates to “Money or bullets.” Fat Joe came up with an interesting and unique way of not only generating buzz for the album but also obtaining direct feedback from people. He decided to prank people by giving them Uber rides for a day while also questioning them aforementioned song which is the first single from the album.
Getting back to the fact that he is quite a sneakerhead, it turns out that even Fat Joe himself does not remember what sneakers he has stashed in his collection. Apparently, he was doing some cleaning up when he came across a unique Air Jordan 4 pair that many Jordanheads may have likely never even seen. For those who do seem to recognize it, Fat Joe does claim that the pair is indeed the Air Jordan 4 Derek Anderson PE that he had received when he was still a part of the Miami Heat. The sneaker sports a “Bred” color scheme and features Derek’s “Loyal 1” logo on each ankle. The sneaker has obviously never arrived at retailers and it is unlikely that it ever will.
