This past January, Jordanheads got an official glimpse of the Air Jordan 10 “OVO.” Back then, it was merely a limited edition sneaker and despite the fact that an official release date was not announced, sneaker enthusiasts could not stop posting photos of the pair online. While all of them were eagerly awaiting was Jordan Brand to reveal any potential Jordan release dates 2015, the Air Jordan 10 “OVO” abruptly hit the shelves just recently.
The creation of this sneaker was a result of Jordan Brand and OVO Sound, Drake’s record label, collaboration with each other. Not one but two colorways of the Air Jordan 10 “OVO” had been whipped, one Black and the other White. Both the sneakers also feature some deluxe additions, such as the mudguard and upper are made up of stingray leather, while the panels overlaying the tongue consist of scotch grain leather. An “OVO” owl, which is Drake’s signature logo, is featured on the insole in a subtle Gold hue and the heel sports the Jumpman logo.
Most Jordanheads and fans of Drake will agree that both the Black and White renditions of this sneaker are equally dope. Moreover, collectors who generally rush out to grab the latest pair from Jordan Brand will also agree that Jordan releases more than often lead to chaos in the form of eager sneakerheads swarming at retailers. So, it makes sense that no official Jordan release dates 2015 had been confirmed for these Air Jordan 10 pairs and they made a surprising, unexpected debut.
Both iterations of the Air Jordan 10 “OVO” hit the shelves in La Brea, Los Angeles and they might still be up for grabs at the OVO pop-up shop where they were released. Those planning to get their hands on this sneaker should also keep in mind that they are retailing for $225 and also they might not be re-released ever again.
