Had Drake decided to host his Summer Sixteen tour in Montreal at some point in the October of the past couple of years, it would have been considered foolish and imprudent. However, since Canada’s “Sin City” has been experiencing an Indian summer, this is actually the perfect time for the Canadian rapper to perform in his home country. Prior this recent performance at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Drake had suffered an ankle injury due to which he had to postpone a bunch of his tour dates, including one in Toronto. Despite his ankle injury, Drake was recently spotted rocking an Air Jordan sneaker that does not arrive until December.
Due to his ankle being injured, which he had to get wrapped prior to his performance in Montreal, Drake arrived on stage forty minutes later than he was supposed to and the show went on right after midnight. This was not the first time as of lately that Drake performed somewhere in his home country. In fact, two weeks or so ago he also had shows in Edmonton and Vancouver. While it is uncertain where Drake was when the photo featured here was taken, but avid sneakerheads can clearly see which Air Jordan model he is laced up in while seated there on the steps.
The photo featured here was posted by @champagnepapi on Instagram and the only thing that is certain is that it was likely taken during one of Drake’s recent stops as a part of his Summer Sixteen tour. For those who have not been able to figure out, the sneaker that Drake is wearing is actually the Air Jordan 16 “Midnight Navy.” The last time this sneaker had been available, it had been a part of 2008’s Countdown Pack. Based on reports so far, the Air Jordan 16 “Might Navy” is scheduled to hit the shelves on December 22nd and it will retail for a whopping $250.
