For Jordaheads who may not know, Dover Street Market is a concept and fashion retail store owned by Japanese fashion label, Comme des Garçons. Apparently, Jordan Brand and Dover Street Market have collaborated with each other, and together they will be working on whipping up a never-before-seen pair of the coveted Air Jordan 1 High. While one of the Jordan release dates 2015 JB announced for the retail debut of Dover Street Market x Air Jordan 1 High has already arrived, but the hype behind this unique colorway still continues.
For the upper, patent leather in a Navy hue has been utilized, which is quite a sensible choice since it makes this sneaker look really impressive and striking. If sneakerheads take a closer look at this new jordans, they will notice that Jordan Brand has apparently enhanced this sneaker’s makeup by add further iridescence to the patent leather upper. As a result, the design has a clean and sophisticated appeal to it.
The wax laces also have the the same firm, tonal Navy hue over them, while the outsole unit is also covered in that color as well. Finally, the White midsole contrasts really well with the rest of the color scheme. The Jordan Wings logo and the Nike Swoosh that the side panels sport, lace aglets featuring Jumpman branding that can be screwed on, and finally the monochromatic DSM logo visible on the insoles are amongst the finishing touches.
There is no doubt in the fact that this collaboration sneaker bears a “premium” look both because of its distinctive palette and the other accentuating touches. The Dover Street Market x Air Jordan 1 High already hit the shelves select Nike stores and DSM’s flagship shops on one of the previous week’s Jordan release dates 2015, specifically April 16th. Perhaps the most astonishing thing about this pair is the fact that its retail price is $700.
