Back in November 2016, Jordan Brand made an announcement to reveal the launch of their brand new “Class of” high school basketball initiative. Last year’s initiative was dubbed “Class of XXXI,” representing the Jordan Brand’s senior 2016 class of high school athletes. The “XXXI” also referred to the Air Jordan 31, the latest signature model,” so this year’s class will be dubbed “Class of XXXII.” For last year’s initiative, Jordan Brand got Don C of Just Don to design the jerseys. Sneakerheads likely recall the Just Don x Air Jordan 2 releases, so they will probably be delighted to learn that Don C will be designing another one.
The last Just Don x Air Jordan 2 colorway that Don C had worked on was the “Beach” iteration. It arrived at select Jordan Brand and Nike retailers on January 30th, 2017. It was one of the most costliest Air Jordan releases in recent times, considering that it retailed at an outrageous and whopping price of $650. The Just Don x Air Jordan 2 “Beach” got its nickname from the Creamy hue that covered the entire sneaker, including its luxurious quilted uppers and its soles. The deluxe aesthetics of the sneaker were further accentuated and augmented with Metallic Gold-colored detailing.
As sneakerheads must have guessed by now, the Air Jordan releases 2017 will also include a brand new Just Don x Air Jordan 2 release. This will also be the final Air Jordan 2 that Don C will design. As sneakerheads can see, it looks somewhat similar to the “Beach” colorway, except that hue covering it is actually Pink. As the previous releases, this latest installment also has deluxe quilted leather uppers that are dressed up completely in a Light Pink hue, which also appears over its inner linings, laces, soles and suede accents.
Considering that this will be the last Air Jordan 2 that Don C will design in collaboration with Jordan Brand, sneakerheads would definitely not want to miss out. Although a release date has not been confirmed yet, this Light Pink-colored Just Don x Air Jordan 2 will reported hit the shelves among Spring’s Jordan releases 2017.
