DJ Khaled recently press flashy and over-the-top press conference to announce the release of his tenth studio album, Grateful. Those who attended the event had apparently received a cryptic invitation. Details of the the event that took place on Thursday were engraved onto fau crystal plaques, which were sent to reporters. The press conference took place at the Beverly Hills Hotel in California and the scene there looked like it belonged in a rap video, with celebrities like Busta Rhymes attending and liquor everywhere. In addition to being the center of attention, DJ Khaled was also spotted laced in the Just Don x Air Jordan 2 “Arctic Orange.”
DJ Khaled’s family and friends, as well as select fans were also invited to the event, where he stood before a podium to announce the title of his upcoming, 10th studio album. DJ Khaled expressed appreciation for all the love that his ninth studio album “Major Key” received and mentioned that the title of his new album “Grateful” means a lot to him. It seems that the idea behind his new album is to express his gratitude for all the love and support he has received. DJ Khaled even received a custom Air Jordan 1 pair 18 carat gold accents from The Shoe Surgeon, who was also present there.
To match the upcoming “Arctic Pink” colorway of the Air Jordan 2 variation designed by Just Don that he was wearing, DJ Khaled was dressed in a matching shiny pink suit. Like the previous Just Don x Air Jordan 2 “Beach” and “Blue” releases, the latest one features quilted leather uppers with suede overlays. It gets its “Arctic Orange” nickname from the Orange-Pinkish hue that covers this sneaker entirely, from its uppers all the way down to its rubber soles. As a finishing touch, a Light Tan-colored Jordan “Wings” logo can be spotted on each tongue.
The fact that DJ Khaled is somewhat involved in the upcoming release of this sneaker is perhaps a sign that it will eventually be available in limited numbers. So far, a retail price has not been confirmed but it is being rumored that the Just Don x Air Jordan 2 Arctic Orange” will be among Spring’s upcoming Jordan releases 2017.
