Sneakerheads might recall that Jordan Brand introduced the Air Jordan 1 High Deconstructed back in August 2016. It got its nickname due to the lack of any paneling and layering over its uppers, which made it appear literally deconstructed, with a minimalistic look resembling the original Chuck Taylor All-Star. As a part of their Retro Summer Jordan releases 2017, Jordan Brand even unveiled two pastel-colored iterations of the Air Jordan 1 High Deconstructed, which have already hit the shelves. Last month, it was also revealed that the Air Jordan 2 was receiving the deconstructed treatment as well and Dez Bryant has apparently gotten his hands on the three colorways.
There is a reason that Dez Bryant has been the face of the Dallas Cowboys for so many years. Compared to other wide receivers, not only does he possess a great deal of brute strength, he also has a charming personality. By now, most sneakerheads also already know that Dez is a huge sneaker enthusiast much like them and has close ties with Jordan Brand. They also know that he frequently shares photos of his latest sneaker hauls on his official Instagram account. Therefore, it is not surprising that Dez Bryant is the first to have gotten his hands on all three colorways of the upcoming Air Jordan 2 Deconstructed.
As sneakerheads may have already guessed, it was Dez Bryant himself who shared this photo of his Air Jordan 2 Deconstructed pairs on Instagram (@dezbryant). Like the Air Jordan 1 High Deconstructed, the Air Jordan 2 Deconstructed also appears to be a lighter and simpler variation of the model. All three colorways, namely the “Bordeaux,” “Mint Foam” and the “University Yellow,” all feature tonal suede uppers. They are even equipped with tonal laces and soles, and they seem to be sporting tonal branding too.
Judging from the photo that Dez Bryant shared, he also seems to have added the Just Don x Air Jordan 2 “Arctic Orange” to his collection, which will not even arrive in adult sizes. As for these three pastel-colored Air Jordan 2 Deconstructed colorways, sneakerheads will be able to cop them at a price of $160 on June 21st, 2017.
