Jeff Hornacek, the current head coach of the New York Knicks, has managed to transform Carmelo Anthony into the clutch shot expert that he used to be when he was playing as a part of the Denver Nuggets. During this Wednesday’s Knicks vs Timberwolves game, 24 seconds were left on the clock and the score was tied, and if it was not for Carmelo, it would have perhaps remained that way. However, with just 2.3 seconds remaining, Carmelo managed to make an impressive 18-footer clutch sealing the victory for the Knicks with a score of 106-104. Carmelo is probably also preparing for the release of his latest signature model.
The photos accompanying this post were shared on Instagram by user @wkobe and the sneaker silhouette that can be seen is being rumored to be the Jordan Melo M13. Among signature Jordan Brand athletes, Carmelo Anthony has been with the Jumpman for the longest time and has remained loyal ever signing with the brand after being drafted during the 2003–04 NBA season. Over the course of his career, both playing as a member of the Denver Nuggets and the New York Knicks, Carmelo Anthony has received some of the dopest PEs from Jordan Brand. Moreover, he has his own signature line already consisting of twelve models.
It turns out that Jordan Brand may have introduced the thirteenth one now and will introduce it very soon. Regardless of whether or not this is the Melo M13, this sneaker has certainly been designed look rather sleek, its synthetic Kurim uppers covered in diamond-like textures. Even its midsole units sport the diamond-like textures, while it is equipped with fuse toecaps too and its medial sides appear to be ventilated. The diamond-like motifs appear on its tongues too, while its tongue tags are triangle-shaped, bearing both the “Jumpman” logo and “Melo XIII.” Thus, there should be no doubt now that this is indeed the Jordan Melo M13.
The Jordan Melo M13 featured in the photos above is dressed up in a Black and Gold color scheme, and this could be the debut colorway of the model. Of course, these photos have been leaked online, so Jordan Brand has yet to introduce the Melo M13 and announce whether it will be among 2016’s or 2017 Jordan releases.
