The Air Jordan 33 Low SE has officially made its retail debut among April’s recent Air Jordan releases 2019 in a “White/Gym Red” colorway. Introducing a low-profile variation was one of the most significant changes that Jordan Brand made to the Air Jordan 1 ever since its debut back in the mid-‘80s. Since then, releasing a low-top version of every forthcoming Air Jordan model became a tradition. As you may recall, the Air Jordan 33 made its highly-anticipated retail debut in a “Future Flight” colorway on October 18, 2018. Almost six months later, Jordan Brand has released a Low SE (Special Edition) variation of the Air Jordan 33.
The Air Jordan 33 was one of Jordan Brand’s most futuristic sneaker models to have been introduced in recent times. The highlight of the Air Jordan 33 that made it exceptional and set it apart was the revolutionary FastFit technology. Of course, much like the Air Jordan 32 was inspired by the Air Jordan 2, Jordan Brand did borrow from the Air Jordan 3 for various aspects of the Air Jordan 33’s design. Of course, the FastFit technology completely replaced a traditional lacing system, ensuring a lockdown fit for wearers. Jordan Brand also drew inspiration from the appearance and functionality of space suits.
Although the Air Jordan 33 Low SE is pretty much the same as its high-top counterpart, the design of the FastFit technology appears to be more tight-knit, perhaps because of its lower profile. It is uncertain though what makes this a Special Edition iteration. The heel panels also appear to be much lower and are covered in a subtle, tonal elephant print pattern, an obvious nod and reference to the Air Jordan 3. Its plain White uppers are made up of mesh and other synthetic materials, while featuring Gym Red-colored contrasting stitching. As mentioned, the Air Jordan 33 Low SE has already debuted among recent Air Jordan releases 2019.
