All the Jordan heads on 23isBack may have noticed that Chris Paul has been rather active as of lately, in terms of rocking various Air Jordans. First, he was spotted bowling in a new Air Jordan 4 colorway, and then he appeared at the recent Los Angeles Dodgers game where he threw out the first pitch in an Air Jordan 1. Recently, he also posted a photo on his Instagram account of an Air Jordan 4 on his feet. Now, the Air Jordan 5 seen here is an exclusive colorway, which may or may not find a spot in Jordan release 2015 or 2014 dates.
Back between 2006 and 2007, when Chris Paul had still been playing for the New Orleans Hornets, the “Home” and “Away” Air Jordan 5 PEs had surfaced, both of which featured the eye catching colors of the Hornets. Subsequently, for the past 6 or 7 years, PE collectors have been tirelessly seeking out two CP3 Air Jordan 5s. Of course, most 23isBack readers here may never get the opportunity to cop either of the two; it had been rumored that this latest CP3 Air Jordan 5 would be hitting the shelves.
For readers who cannot recognize the colors, this Air Jordan 5 colorway has been dressed in the colors of the Los Angeles Clippers, considering that Chris Paul is a member of the team. Earlier in 2014, there had been rumors that these Chris Paul Air Jordan 5 Player Exclusives would actually be making a retail debut, but those rumors had not turned out to be true, at least not until now.
Last month, new photos of the PE sneaker emerged. As can be seen, this pair seems to feature a ballistic mesh upper, just like the “Army Olive” colorway of the Air Jordan 5, but it is the bright blue color that is its main appeal. Considering that these new photos have popped, perhaps a Jordan release 2014 or 2015 might be in store for this CP3 PE.
